Helps conduct interpretive presentations both on and off site on a wide range of natural history and conservation topics to audiences of all ages; responsible for leading nature hikes, team building exercises, and outdoor skills programs; helps organize and conduct summer camps: assists in the development of interpretive displays and exhibits; assists with minor maintenance and care of exhibits, buildings and live animals, helps with the butterfly house.
Education, Biology or Natural Science major with interest, knowledge and experience in the outdoors. Camp counseling or scouting experience helpful. Excellent communication skills essential; as well as enthusiastic; creative and flexible.
Approximately 30 hours per week from late May to August. Will consider part time appointments; Hours flexible; expect some weekend and evening work.
