The International Wolf Center seeks to advance the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wildlands, and the human role in their future. We are a non-advocacy, educational organization. The primary role of our interns is to interact with and educate the public about wolves. There is no direct contact with our ambassador wolves involved in this internship. Please see our website for more information and application materials. Responsibilities of interns: • Conduct wolf education and natural history programs for the public and groups • Teach large and small groups as well as answer wolf and natural history questions from visitors • Lead interpretive hikes and field trips • Assist in program development for people of all ages • Respond to wolf information inquiries by phone and e-mail • Create projects for the education department as assigned • Other duties as assigned
• BS/BA or coursework in environmental education or related field • Enrollment in a college or university • Teaching experience / experience working with the public • Effective communications skills in working with people of all ages • High level of self-motivation and enthusiasm • CPR and First Aid Certifications required • Valid driver’s license required
