Grassland Restoration Strategies Following Solar Field Installation. The graduate student selected will conduct research on grassland restoration techniques following the construction of a new solar field. The goals of the project are to evaluate the ability of South Texas Natives seed releases to restore a native grassland community to areas impacted by the construction of a new solar field and evaluate the most efficient planting time and technique of these seeds. The successful candidate will pursue a MS degree in Range and Wildlife Management with the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, Texas A&M University-Kingsville
B.S. in range ecology, plant ecology, or closely related field. A strong work ethic, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as a productive member of a research team, and ability to work under adverse field conditions (hot humid Texas environment) are essential. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and competitive GRE scores.
