This is a commercial hunting ranch and breeding facility.
Throughout the year staff will guide and entertain ranch guests.
Perform feeder and blind maintenance and improvement.
Implement basic habitat management practices.
Oversee all aspects of a licensed deer breeding facility including health status, handling, and medication of common health issues.
Maintain feed and water in breeding pens as well as in the pasture.
Trapping and moving white-tailed deer and various exotic wildlife.
Cape and quarter big-game animals.
Maintain ranch buildings, fences, equipment and vehicles.
Perform minor vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Responsible for the collection and submission of harvest data for MLD compliance.
Conduct big-game surveys both aerially and by camera.
Basic knowledge of heavy equipment and tractor work.
Seven years of white-tailed deer breeding facility experience.
Pleasant personality with positive attitude to maintain good morale.
Ability to work as a team and cooperate with others.
Be able to take instruction and constructive criticism
Be able to impart suggestions, ideas, and observations to owners
Strong time management skills
Enjoy interacting with coworkers, owners, guests, vendors and ranch visitors.
Must be able to tolerate Texas summer heat.
Requires working long hours and weekend work.
White-tailed deer aging, guiding and skinning knowledge and experience a must.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
