Wildlife Center Overview We are actively seeking two (2) wildlife or education professionals to intern at The Wildlife Center at Legends Ranch in Bitely, Michigan. The Wildlife Center at Legends Ranch is a 501 c3 Non-Profit, 24 thousand square foot facility featuring 2,500 animals from around the world. The center offers a one of a kind experience for students, families, hunters and friends where they are able to learn the importance of hunting and conservation. Our mission is to provide and promote education regarding scientific, environmental, conservational, and historical topics and issues. Wildlife Center programs include: • Educational field trips • Wildlife-related degree scholarships • Conservation for threatened species • Legends Ranch Youth Challenge & Purple Heart Hunts Intern responsibilities: • Help create and develop educational programs for students and visitors to learn about conservation through hunting. • Help brainstorm, develop and organize ideas to further the wildlife center’s mission. • Assist in developing a website to showcase our programs. • Fundraise and send out publications of our progress through social media, newsletters and other outlets. • Schedule and guide tours for all programs.
Qualifications A highly qualified individual will have or be in the process of completing a college degree in education, wildlife biology, environmental studies or other related degree programs.
