- Description
- This position exists to be an agency liaison position between the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to ensure sustainability of the State's water and natural resources, through management of the activities of Transportation. This position acts with limited supervision as the prime contact for MnDOT for its construction and maintenance projects on the statewide Trunk Highway (TH) system. The position is the prime contact for coordination between DNR and MnDOT for their Highway Project Development Process (HPDP), Early Notification Memo (ENM) review), DNR Natural Heritage Information System (NHIS) review, Ecological and Water Resources Permitting, and provides technical assistance to Regional Managers and Area Hydrologists for their work on local road systems. This position also develops informational seminars and materials that involve statewide and regional specific projects, policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to the state's transportation activities.
