The Center for Integrated Research on the Environment (CIRE) is looking for two (2) Tree Surveyors to inventory trees at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls Montana. Tree surveyors will need to collect data related to species identification, Diameter at Breast Height (DBH), and tree condition (health, and possible reasons for stress). CIRE is planning a project start around the 3rd week in May and running 5 to 6 weeks, finishing around the end of June. Applicants should plan to work 10 hour days 4 days per week. CIRE will provide surveyors hotel accommodations in Great Falls for the duration of the project as well as Per Diem, paid at the current Montana state rate. In addition to food and lodging, this project provides a work vehicle and measurement equipment.

•CIRE is looking to hire technicians with some basic forestry management skills
•Technicians should have a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a 4WD pickup in both an urban and off-road setting
•Technicians maybe required to carry heavy objects, and will need to work on their feet
•CIRE is looking for someone who possess or is pursuing a degree in Forestry Management or a related field.
TECHNICIANS WILL NEED TO PASS A FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK FOR A CONTRACTOR PASS TO WORK ON MALMSTROM AIR FORCE BASE.
