- Description
- The Brzozowski Lab at University of Kentucky is seeking applications for a graduate research assistant to start in August 2023. The Brzozowski lab works on both applied breeding and genetic research of small grains in Kentucky, including winter oats and winter rye. This graduate student would have the opportunity to gain experience in genomic analyses, as well as field and on-farm trialing. The position starts in August 2023, and opportunities for an earlier start are available. The position is fully funded for the duration of a PhD program, and requires two semesters of serving as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate class. Students must be interested in plant breeding and genomics, and experience in any aspect of agriculture or genetics is preferred. Preference is given to students who are interested in pursuing a PhD, but MS students will also be considered.
