- Description
- We are seeking 2 technicians for assistance completing understory vegetation sampling and camera trap sampling within southeastern Alabama and central Georgia. The technicians will work with graduate student, Dylan Stewart, to sample understory vegetation characteristics related to biomass, coverage, and cover. All sampling efforts are utilized to quantify how management practices influence habitat quality for white-tailed deer, quail, and turkey in both pine and hardwood stands. Sampling will extend from May 24th through August 8th; however, start and end dates may be slightly extended. Technicians will be expected to work full time Monday through Friday in adverse field conditions. Some of these conditions may include, but are not limited to, working in the rain, humidity, heat, etc.
- Qualifications
- We require that applicants are in good physical condition and able to walk several miles under adverse field conditions. Preferred applicants will have prior southeastern plant identification experience and/or plant sampling experience; however, it isn't required.
