Job Summary: The Visitor Services Coordinator oversees park picnic and vendor permits. The Coordinator is the primary contact for food and group fitness vendors. The position also supports program planning and logistics for Park events. Duties & Responsibilities: Vendor relationships: - Oversee and develop the food truck program including recruiting, scheduling, and liaising with food truck vendors, ensuring appropriate permits and insurance are collected - Oversee group fitness permitting including recruiting, scheduling, and liaising with fitness vendors, ensuring appropriate permits and insurance are collected - Ensure vendor and group fitness compliance with park rules and regulations - Develop relationships with new vendors to diversify park offerings Permitting and Events - Respond to park user inquiries and answer questions in a timely manner - Ensure compliance by park users with rules and regulations - Issue photography and film permits as needed for park users and contractors - Approve reservations and maintain the permitting database, ensure integrity of data - Support event organizers as needed, i.e. park tours - Assist Visitor Services Supervisor on large-scale event planning and compliance Park Programming - Support program planning for free to low-cost programs like park tours and yoga classes - Assist with event logistics as needed Cullen Running Trails Center Management - Assist as needed with Visitor Services operations at the Cullen Running Trails Center - Monitor sales inventory and assist in purchasing new shop and concessions items - Accurate and timely reporting of daily revenue and visitor counts Other - Support Conservation and Park Operations staff as needed - Support outreach and volunteer program as needed - Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Highly organized, maintain accurate records and efficiently multi-task daily deadlines - Self-motivated, energetic learner with a good sense of humor - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups and personalities - Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident working with the public on a daily basis - Ability to handle stressful situations, demonstrating diplomacy and tact under pressure - Comfortable providing some direction to Visitor Services Assistants and janitorial staff - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
