The Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator VISTA will work to recruit and retain volunteers and members, as well as to improve KTMB’s community education and outreach efforts.
KTMB’s volunteer program is multi-faceted. KTMB volunteers serve in a variety of ways; as board and committee members, project leaders, special event volunteers, one-time and repeat volunteers. KTMB volunteers are all ages, from all walks of life and neighborhoods in the Truckee Meadows. They have a
hundred different day jobs, but they all come together to participate in KTMB’s cleanup initiatives.
The Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will be an essential member of KTMB’s team. This person will improve the quality of KTMB’s volunteer program including recruiting, training, managing and retaining volunteers. They will empower community members to be stewards of the environment in the Truckee Meadows and develop service learning opportunities for schools and other community groups.
