**This job was previously flown but is being extended to draw a larger applicant pool** The Nez Perce Tribe Watershed Division is recruiting for: WATERSHED RESTORATION SPECIALIST II HR-17-168 This position is a full-time regular and based out of the McCall, ID field office. The candidate will join a highly professional and experienced team working on restoring and protecting aquatic ecosystems and watersheds important to fisheries restoration, Nez Perce Tribal treaty resources, and all people. The position will participate in watershed/aquatic ecosystem protection and restoration including data collection/analysis, GIS analysis, habitat assessments, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and grant writing. Field duties include leading field work logistics/planning/crew over-site. Typical projects include restoring fish passage, stream/riparian/floodplain restoration, reducing road related sedimentation, mine reclamation, and invasive weed control.
Requires coordination with private, local, state, federal, and tribal entities. Must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and strong GIS data analysis experience. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in related field. Related field and/or course work requirements defined in job expectations. Requires three (3) years professional level experience or one (1) year professional experience with Master’s degree. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience required. To apply you must submit a Tribal application and resume.
