- M3 Whitetails is looking for 2-4 motivated undergraduate or graduate students to assist us in our 2023 summer internship program. This job will provide you with hands on experience in many aspects of a whitetail deer breeding operation. We are located between Hearne, Texas and Franklin, Texas. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: • Care of fawns (including tagging, monitoring health conditions, and bottle-feeding) • Recording data for each fawn born • Medical Treatment of Adult and Fawns • Participating on surgical procedures Adults and Fawns • Feeding the adult whitetail herd and exotic animals as needed • Maintenance of water system throughout the deer pens as needed • Misc. maintenance tasks of the deer facility and/or property • Maintaining a clean working facility We are also looking for someone is interested and has experience in Animal Photography and editing. This can also lead to a full time offer for the right person.
- Qualifications
- We are looking for someone who is seeking to further their education with hands on experience in the deer industry. Having an animal background or a degree in agriculture is a plus but is not required. Having previous farm experience is a plus, but not required. Must be a self-starter willing to work independently and with the team. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. If you want to learn this is the place to intern at.
