- Description
- Under limited supervision, the seasonal biologist will perform a variety of duties regarding the implementation and management of Wild Toledo initiatives, conservation education outreach, collection and collation of field data for diverse taxa, ecological restoration, and writing reports. Acquires and prepares data, including preparation of reports, works with the Conservation Biologist regarding the husbandry of live butterflies, assists in the development of programmatic materials and communicates and interacts with various departments. This position also teaches and presents various educational programs and presentations for visitors and various organizations in the community. See toledozoo.org for more information.
- Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of conservation biology themes and techniques and a willingness to learn additional information. Preference will be given to current biology university students as well as those with degrees in the field. Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by the Zoo’s fleet insurance carrier. The Toledo Zoo is an EOE and a drug/alcohol free work place.
