•Integrate and oversee the US Army Environmental Command's (USAEC) efforts on natural resource management, ecosystem management, wildlife management, and threatened and endangered species.
•Provide technical assistance to planning engineers and scientists concerning ecological integrity in the development of specific projects to assure comprehensive environmental considerations as they relate to the military mission.
•Analyze and evaluate field data needed to prepare reports concerning the Sikes Act, Endangered Species Act, and other related land use laws.
•Advises and consults with Federal and State agencies and other entities to develop information and interpret findings.
•Review technical reports submitted by Federal fish and wildlife agencies and environmental protection agencies covering the effects of proposed projects.
