POSITION DUTY STATION IS THE PINE CREEK CONSERVATION AREA near CLARNO, OR
**HOUSING IS PROVIDED - MUST LIVE ON SITE**
Develop and implement the operations and maintenance activities associated with assigned conservation property (34k acres). Provide oversight, including: budgeting, contract compliance, preparation and submittal of technical progress reports. Conduct scientific studies to monitor and evaluate habitat recovery occurring on the property. Directly supervise Biologist position. Plan, organize and implement habitat restoration projects commensurate with habitat management plan with minimum supervision. Operation and maintenance of building, fences, roads, and other infrastructure. Use of equipment; backhoes, power and hand tools, ATV, tractor, technical scientific equipment and various other tools and/or equipment. Engage successfully in public contact and public relations, especially in rural community. Personal computer skills in various data base, spreadsheets and word processing programs needed. Work is independent and located in a remote landscape, but the local community is very social and engaging.
-Three years' experience in program management
-Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Science (Fisheries, Wildlife, Watershed Management or a closely related field)
-Experience in Watershed management as it affects aquatic and terrestrial resources
-Wildlife and fisheries management techniques and contracting
-Budget development and management
-Possess a pesticide license or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire
-Possess a valid Oregon driver's license
