Wildlife Analyst (1 position) – Student Contractor position (open to recent/soon to graduate PhD students)
Duties will include research on chronic wasting disease (CWD) in the western US. Specific duties will include working with managers to evaluate potential for multi-population study on CWD, working with interdisciplinary team, managing datasets, conducting statistical analyses in the statistical software R, and preparing manuscripts for publication. Opportunity to lead research.
Must be current PhD student or have graduated within 10 months.
Strong statistical and coding background required.
Experience with analysis and manuscript preparation/publication preferred.
Experience in disease ecology preferred.
Experience in analysis of GPS collar data (RSFs, SSFs, UDs) preferred.
GS-11 equivalent. May begin as early as Jan 15. 40 hours per week. Duty station: West Glacier, MT, with some remote work possible. Cannot pay for travel to West Glacier.
