The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is seeking to fill a Regional Fisheries Manager position listed under the WILDLIFE MANAGER 3 Class based out of Crossville, TN. The selected candidate will provide oversight of a regional rivers, streams and small impoundments program that covers a 24-county area in Central and East Tennessee. The Wildlife Manager 3 manages regional stocked and wild trout fisheries, warm-water river and streams fisheries for various sport fish, and numerous state park and community lake fisheries. Duties include preparing and monitoring budgets, assists with development of fisheries policy, monitors biologists’ activities related to stream, small lakes and hatchery management, assists in developing partnerships with local state and federal agencies, and represents the program in various settings. The program scope of work includes monitoring sport fish populations, aquatic nuisance species surveillance, enhancing access to fisheries, improving habitat, surveying anglers, conducting outreach programs, and improving fishing opportunities. The Wildlife Manager 3 is responsible for the supervision of 3 Fisheries Managers.
