- The Research Scientist 2 (RS2) is a permanent full-time position that will serve as the Wildlife Disease Expert/Pathologist for the Office of Fish & Wildlife Health & Forensics (OFWHF) in the NJDEP Fish and Wildlife. The OFWHF provides diagnostic and research support to understand fish and wildlife disease throughout the state of New Jersey. Under normal operation, the office has a full-time fish pathologist, a full-time technician, and up to two part-time technicians which assist with field sampling and sample processing. The Wildlife Pathologist will join this staff in the office to lead the terrestrial wildlife health projects.
- Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in a discipline appropriate to the position. NOTE: All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility. Experience: Three (3) years of full-time experience in a field appropriate to the position. NOTE: A Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the position may be substituted for two (2) years of experience indicated above.
