- Wildcat Creek wildlife Center is a wildlife rehabilitation and Hospital facility located in Indiana. Annually we admit 2000 wildlife patients of all native and migratory species. We rehabilitate mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and all avian species. Interns work, hands-on with over 100 different species! New skill sets learned will include different feeding techniques, preparation of species specific formulas, enrichment protocols, and animal restraint. Interns also have the opportunity to read radiographs, observe surgeries, and participate in post-operative care of wildlife patients under the direct supervision of our medical staff. We are looking for interns that can enthusiastically work 60 to 70 hours a week. The work week consists of five 12 to 14 hour days and two non-consecutive days off per week. Minimum time commitment is 10 weeks. This is an unpaid internship but does include housing at the center for full-time interns. Part-time positions are also available and consist of three 10 hour days per week. Part-time positions do not include housing. - Qualifications
- Preferred applicant will be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a related field of study. Prior animal experience is definitely a plus, but not a requirement.
