The RA will support the development of machine learning tools for the automatic detection of marine wildlife. The RA will manually visualize imagery, draw bounding boxes around wildlife targets, and describe targets. The RA will perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to data management, data processing, data releases, and production of scientific materials related to the study of marine birds and marine wildlife. The position is temporary in nature, unlikely to extend beyond 2021, and unlikely to lead to a graduate student position.
Education - Bachelor's Degree in wildlife or marine biology, or a closely related field, Basic level of wildlife knowledge to discriminate wildlife targets. Working familiarity with identification of one or all of the following: marine birds, marine mammals, and sea turtles.
