Description
Intern will conduct wildlife research and assist Game, Fish, and Parks staff in collecting radiotelemetry data for monitoring bobcats. This student will track survival and also determine cause-specific mortality of bobcats. Capturing and radiomarking kittens will be a large part of this student's duties. Maintenance of traps, equipment, data entry, and office assistance will also be required. Intern may be working long and variable hours in adverse conditions. Applicant must be in good physical condition, possess valid driver’s license, and be able to use trucks and ATVs under off-road conditions. Work vehicle and equipment provided.
Qualifications
In addition, coursework in human dimensions training, wildlife management and techniques, and mammalogy is desired. Experience with radio-telemetry equipment will be desirable.
