The Wildlife Specialist/District Technician is a full-time, permanent position with the Darke Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). This position will seek the cooperation of landowners in understanding, following and utilizing conservation plans. Workload activities will focus on the coordination of specific conservation projects and services as assigned, installation and maintenance of best management practices, advising and providing technical assistance to landowners, engineers, etc. on natural resource issues. Wildlife duties will include, but may not be limited to, wildlife damage and nuisance assistance, wildlife surveys, wildlife habitat technical assistance and education, public land assistance and farm bill related work. Necessary training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Minimum 2yr wildlife related degree
Experience in AutoCAD, ArcGIS preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
