Description
This position will reside at the Clear Fork Ranch North Headquarters and is approximately 15 miles East of Stamford, Texas. Responsible for all functions within the assigned area, with focus on conducting wildlife management techniques, research, and outreach. Job description includes: • conducting wildlife surveys of the various game and non-game species on Clear Fork Ranch • data collection as assigned for wildlife on Clear Fork Ranch • intensive supplemental feeding program • corn feeder placement and maintenance • deer blind maintenance and placement • population management through hunting and fishing • vegetation sampling and monitoring • guiding hunts for deer, turkey, hogs, quail, and waterfowl • GIS and GPS data collection and mapping development • perimeter fence line maintenance • food plot planting and preparations • fisheries management of ranch ponds • educational workshops and outreach events • wildlife research projects
Qualifications
• Ability to effectively communicate with Clear Fork Ranch personnel • Ability to accurately solve problems • Must have experience with ArcGIS and associated mapping software • Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment • Ability to work established work schedule • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments • Ability to consider safety in all decisions • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities • Ability to successfully perform the primary responsibilities of this position • Must have knowledge and understanding of basic computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any other related software • Must develop and master understanding of ranch organizational responsibilities for each department and abide by all policies • Must be a team player, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for natural resource management • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing, the ability to be an approved driver for the company and to safely operate vehicles • Must have valid Texas hunting license • Must have the ability to traverse rough terrain and work independently in harsh conditions
