- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is seeking to fill a Regional Fisheries Technician position listed under the WILDLIFE Technician II Class based out of Collierville, TN. The selected candidate will conduct fisheries sampling on four state lakes in west Tennessee in addition to conducting routine facility maintenance such as mowing, bush-hogging, trimming, and litter pick-up. The repair/construction of facility properties such as fishing piers, storage buildings, Agency buildings, levees, and dams will also be duties associated with this position. The Wildlife Technician II conducts data gathering surveys in regionally stocked winter trout fisheries and small impoundments measuring sport, non-game, and forage fisheries, and assisting the regional hatchery with fish production duties. The program scope of work includes monitoring/inventorying sport fish and non-game populations, aquatic nuisance species surveillance, enhancing access to fisheries, improving habitat, surveying anglers, conducting outreach programs, improving fishing opportunities, and maintaining state lake properties.
