- Description
- The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking to hire multiple wildlife biologist aides from January 2023 to May 2023 for white-tailed deer field studies. Duties will include, but are not limited to, capturing white-tailed deer using clover traps, rocket nets, and drop nets and conducting road-side deer population surveys.
- Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in ecology, wildlife, or a related natural resources field is required. Valid driver’s license is required. Ability to drive 4WD trucks in snow is preferred. Long hours (early morning and after dark) and weekend work will be expected in harsh, winter field conditions. Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry it for 100 meters. Salary is $15.88 per hour (typically, 40+ hours per week: limited to 749 hours total). Work vehicle is provided. Housing/benefits not provided.
