- Position Title: Wisconsin Field to Fork Coordinator Reports To: Director of Hunting Position Location: Remote, Wisconsin Resident Date Available: Immediate Position Description: The Field to Fork Coordinator will work closely with the National Deer Association (NDA) members and staff, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and other partner groups to deliver Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation (R3) hunting programs and other education and outreach programs throughout the state of Wisconsin. The position is responsible for growing an increasing strategic partnership to advance R3 hunting programs and conservation work with a focus on urban hunting opportunities, doing so in a way that attributes success to the person’s hunting experience. Key Job Responsibilities: The NDA is seeking a qualified, self-motivated, and outgoing individual to serve as a Field to Fork Coordinator to deliver “Field to Fork” R3 hunting programs; through direct program implementation but also through coordination and facilitation of NDA Branches and R3 partners throughout Wisconsin: Coordinate R3 (hunting, trapping, shooting sports) programs and events with partners, stakeholders, and staff that have at least 10 participants in attendance. Participate on the DNR’s R3 Team to identify, discuss, and implement R3 programs, Hunter Education and other events in WI. Recruit and train new lead instructors for R3 programming. Provide or assist internet and field day hunter education courses. Assist with efforts at public events by staffing educational displays and booth space to promote R3 programs, as needed, at venues across the state. Assist with efforts to promote and recruit hunter and trapper education instructors and junior hunter education instructors. Help manage and coordinate necessary equipment and material support, including the ability to pull a trailer. Promote and expand awareness of adult-onset hunter recruitment throughout the conservation community as well as in the non-hunting/locavore world. Provide support to National and Regional R3 committees and attend meetings as appropriate. Utilize Field to Fork platform as a subject matter expert on R3, training new hunters, safe and healthy venison preparation and storage, and food-motivated hunting. Other duties as assigned.

- Preferred Qualifications: College degree preferred. Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and set goals. Solid appreciation and working knowledge of food-focused deer hunting and management. Ability to engage and relate with hunters and land managers. Ability to organize and conduct R3 events. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Well-developed written and verbal communications skills Sound computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to work with minimal supervision from home office, travel as necessary and work several weekends throughout the year.
